Ravenwood's Donovan Starr won two events on Thursday starting with the Class AAA High Jump clearing 6-6 after a weather delay and followed that up with the fastest 100m dash of the championship with a 10.56.
Three Different Days Of Weather
During the field event portion of each day, the weather was all about the same. Warm with a cross wind on the discus sector and a steady negative wind for the horizontal jumps. The results of those events can all be judged relatively equally. Its the evening session where events can't be compared apples to apples. On Tuesday, the weather remained hot with a steady negative wind. On the ground it felt much stronger than the readings suggest. On Wednesday, the wind pretty much stopped and after the storm moved through the temperature dropped significantly. No one had to race during any precipitation however.
