Lions Compete at Shorter Invitational Mar 30, 2014

The Bryan Lions opened their Outdoor season in Rome, GA on Saturday.  With rain into the early afternoon followed by high winds, the conditions challenged all the athletes competing yet the Lions fought well.

Hatfield and Simpson Compete in the Indiana Relays Feb 1, 2014

Just two Lions competed this weekend at the Indiana Relays in Bloomington, Ind.  Hosted by Indiana University on their 200m banked track in Gladstein Fieldhouse, the invitational meet is historically fast and set up a great challenge for the Lions. (via www.bryanlions.com)

Lions Triumphant at Sand Shark Invitational Oct 28, 2013

The Home of the Bryan College Lions (via www.bryanlions.com)The Lions traveled to Beaufort, South Carolina over the weekend to compete at the 2013 Sand Shark Invitational, hosted by the University of South Carolina – Beaufort.  On a cool morning on a flat course, the men took down the No. 11 ranked Emmanuel in a close team battle.  The No. 16 Embry-Riddle and no. 21 Tennessee Wesleyan were close behind.

The Lions Cross Country and Track teams are pleased to announce the signing of Tyler Boone of Siegel High School of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. He joins a successful team as a stand out athlete in his own right, and looks to continue the Bryan tradition of excellence. 

Bryan College XC Camp to give a Camp Scholarship Jun 7, 2011

  After a successful camp in 2010, the 2011 version of the Bryan College Cross Country Camp will offer two separate weeks this summer at Fort Bluff in Dayton, Tennessee. Camp One will run July 18th to July 23rd and Camp Two will follow starting July 25th and going through July 30th.  For more information please click on the link.  The Bryan College Cross Country Camp provides male and female campers aged 12 to 18 with an educational and motivational experience as they prepare for their upcoming cross country season.  The focus of the camp is to provide appropriate training, based on the individual’s current fitness level, as well as group and individual instruction that will lead to new levels of success.

  Bryan College added two solid student-athletes to the 2009-2010 recruiting class.  Local standout Alex Stephens of Cleveland High committed to the Lions, while Orlando based senior Jason McLeod of Circle Christian School chose to compete for Bryan as well.

Bryan College Takes NAIA Region XII Title Bryan College Press Release Nov 4, 2007

Bryan College captured the NAIA Region XII and Appalachian Athletic Conference Cross Country Championship in convincing fashion Saturday, by placing five athletes in the top nine positions. The championship was hosted by the Milligan College at Sycamore Shoals State Park.  Bryan totaled 29 points as the host Milligan finished second with 54.  King College took the third team slot with 129 points.  Individually for the Lions, Daniel Goetz led the way with a second place finish and time of 25:50.80 over the eight-kilometer course.  Milligan's Ben Ronoh took the individual crown in 25:27.10.  

Bryan College Picked First in Preseason Coach\'s Poll Bryan College Press Release Aug 31, 2007

Bryan College is starting their cross country season with high expectations.  Returning their top four athletes from the 2006 Region XII runner-up finish, the Lions were picked by the Appalachian Athletic Conference coaches to finish at the top this fall.  The men received six first place votes and totaled 62 points, just in front of Milligan College, who received two first place votes and a total of 58 in the preseason poll.  Covenant College and King College were very close for the third and fourth spots as well.  Bryan College was also rated atop the Region XII rankings, ahead of Milligan and Berea College.

Bryan\'s Middle Distance Duo Go 1-2 at Sea Ray Apr 17, 2007

Bryan College was well represented Friday evening at the forty-first running of the Sea Ray Relays hosted by UTK. The freshmen duo of Zach Mobley and Josh Bradley lowered their personal bests by placing first and second in section five of the men's 800 meter run.

Senior Hunter Hall became the latest athlete to sign scholarship papers to join Bryan College\'s cross country and track programs. Hunter placed 50th at the Tennessee State Championships that saw the Bruins finish 6th as a team. He made the All South team in the senior race at Footlocker South with a time of 16:33 and 24th overall. Hunter has personal bests of 4:39 for the 1600 and 10:17 for the 3200 meter run.

Bryan College added another area athlete to its men\'s roster when they signed Walker Valley High standout Caleb Morgan. Morgan was named to the Chattanooga Times Free Press Cross Country All Area Second Team for 2005. He holds school records in the 800 and 1600 meter runs for the Mustangs. Earlier this winter he set an indoor personal best with a 4:38.70 mile at the Niswonger Invite held in Johnson City, TN.

Josh Bradley, a senior at Lakeview-Ft. Oglethorpe High School in Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga., signed scholarship papers to become the newest Lion for the 2006 cross country season. Josh finished eleventh in the Georgia Class 4A cross country state championships this past fall. He was named to the first team "Best of Preps" by the Chattanooga Times Free Press.
