Brooks Memphis Twilight Classic Meet Review
This time of year, the weather is always a question when it comes to this huge cross country meet. The competition though is never a question – it’s always tough, it’s always fast, and it’s always the highest level for any meet at any time of the season. Schools come from all around to stake their claim and showcase their athletes. Teams from Missouri, Kansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Kentucky and of course, Tennessee showcase their athletes on this very fast and spectator friendly course. This year, the weather forced the start time to be pushed out by an hour – a very good idea since it was over 90 degrees at the original scheduled start time. Although, once the competition started, the weather was no longer the main concern to these athletes.
