FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - A long day at the University of Arkansas Tyson Foods Invitational turned out to be one of the best in history of the Louisiana Tech track and field program as four school records were smashed and five marks were NCAA qualifying performances.
HOUSTON- The Louisiana Tech track and field teams got off to a great start at the Houston Indoor opener as the throwing squad and the female sprinters picked up where they left off seven months ago.
DENVER -- The 2004 edition of the WAC Cross Country Championship will be held at Lincoln Parish Park in Ruston, La., Oct. 30, and will be hosted by Louisiana Tech. The men will get things started, competing in an 8k race at 9:30 a.m. (CT). The women, who compete in a 5k, will start at 10:30 a.m. There are 10 teams that compete on the women\'s side, while the men sponsor six teams. In 2003, both the Tulsa men and Nevada women brought home their first team titles since joining the WAC, while UTEP\'s Mircea Bogdan won the men\'s individual title, and Nevada\'s Abigail McCallister won the women\'s side.
RUSTON--The Louisiana Tech Track and Field team showed they belonged this weekend at the Alumni Gold Invitational in Baton Rouge, La. as they recorded eight regional qualifying marks while competing against some of the nation's best.
