Stop us if you've heard this before -- it's going to be hard to beat Whitehaven.

The Tigers come in to 2019 as the favorites to win the Girls Division One Large Schools state championship in May. Behind elite sprint depth, led by Ole Miss signee Kirstin Jones, Whitehaven has a strong corps of quick athletes who will be tough to beat.

But don't sleep on the defending champs either. Southwind pulled off the upset last year. And Breanna Miles is back to try and make some noise again in 2019.

Those two Memphis rivals are likely going to be number one and two in the state. In fact, they might be the two best teams in Tennessee regardless of classification.

But Hardin Valley Academy has incredible depth in the sprints and distance as well. The duo of Kensi Gray and Ellie Bachmann make the Hawks a contender too. They'll be shooting for a podium finish come May.

Here are the top ten going into the 2019 season based on personal bests from last year.
