The longest standing sprint event record is this 57.00 run by Payton Barlow (White House) in 2017 but that mark looks to be on borrowed time as this year's competition bring two runners under that mark with another .15 off.

The Tennessee State HS Indoor Championships are on Sunday where Tennessee's best will descend on Nashville for the second time this winter. At last year's competition, three competitors set meet records: 

  • Danielle Dunning (D-Elite) - 60 Meter Dash
  • Kymora-Lee Williams (John Overton) - 200m Dash
  • Carolina Areheart (Webb Knoxville) - 800m Run
