The 13th Annual Nashville PR 3200m was true to its' name as 261 runners ran official milesplit PR's. In all, 13 girls went sub-11:00, 37 boys were under 10:00 and 24 boys ran 9:40 or faster.
Under sunny skies, cool temps and no wind, a total of 323 runners toed the line on Brentwood Academy's 6-lane track and a whopping 80% of them - 261 PR's in total - went home having recorded new PR's!
By the time the Sun went down, and the lights came on, the conditions were ideal for the Toad 2M Championship races, producing some of the fastest 2M times of the Fall, with Knoxville Webb's Caroline Areheart topping Beth Donnelly's meet record with a 10:18 to win the Girls' Toad title, and leading all 10 other girls in the race, under the 11:00 mark. A full 13 girls in total were under 11:00 mark at the meet.
The Boys' Toad 2M Championship race was even faster as four boys went under the 9:00 mark, with Kentucky's Will Sheets (SR) leading the way in 8:52 to better Brodey Hasty's meet record. Callahan Fielder (8:53, TN SR), Eric Moore (8:56, AL SR), and Asher Oates, (8:59, TN JR) all dipped under the 9:00 mark in the exciting 2M finale.
Runners from 7 states converged on Music City for this fun and exciting PR-focused meet with nearly 1,000 spectators watching and cheering races throughout the course of the day, with an incredible 80% of all runners notching new PR's.
