Key Takeaways From 2023 CCS FastBreak Invitational

Knox Catholic Sprinters Have Range

Knoxville Catholic is one of those teams that likely doesn't come to CCS if the Volunteer Classic doesn't get postponed but they made the most of it showing off their range with sprinters from both the boys and girls programs. Freshman Chloe Truss ran all three open events finishing 2nd, 1st, and 2nd in the 100m, 400m, and 200m respectively. The only competitor she lost to was Danielle Dunning who, of course, debuted to a TN #1 in the 100m dash in 11.77. Truss posted times of 12.37, 25.29, and 57.09 which is the fastest time of any freshman and a TN #2.

She also anchored the Knoxville Catholic 4x400m squad to victory to cap the meet off.

On the boys side, after a 2022 season that ended abruptly with hamstring issues, Braylon Harmon ran dual PRs on his way to victory in the 100m and 400m distances. His 10.81 was just his 3rd time under the eleven second mark and his 49.51 is the #1 time in Division II Class AA.
