Can A Record Number Of Boys Break 15:00 For 5K?
We fell short of the prediction of five but surpassed the previous record of two as three boys from Tennessee were able to do so this season with a couple coming ever so close. The three who did are as follows:

Keegan Smith placed 2nd at Saturday Light Fever becoming the only Tennessean to ever break 15:00 at Sanders Ferry.

So congrats to the boys in this state for making history this season but that record number of three may be short lived as from the runners listed above, only Brody Chapman is graduating. Throw in Carter Johnson (15:08), Callahan Fielder (15:13), and Jack Bowen (15:18) into the mix and five is not beyond the realm of possibility as we look ahead. It's really crazy to think about where cross country running is headed in this state.
