Meet Information

Dear Nashville PR 3200m entrants,

Thank you all so much for participating in our 11th Annual Post-Season 3200m Event!
Despite colder than expected weather and sometimes windy conditions, the meet was a great success on all fronts!
I had so many people thanking us for how much we catered to all the athletes.
There were 195 entrants, 166 starters (only 3 DNF's) and despite a freezing wind-chill factor, we recorded a whopping 91 Mile-split-verified PR's!
That means out of the 166 participants, a full 55% of them recorded all-time PR's - personal record times - in less-than-favorable conditions.
I can only imagine the amount of PR's that might have occurred in more ideal racing conditions.
Our pacers were excellent, covering the first 4 laps of every race, and they even went above and beyond, pacing some heats as much as 5-6 laps of the 8-lap events!
Unlike any other meet, awards were given for the most improvement, fostering cooperation and a uniquely fun 'win-win' atmosphere!
The meet time schedule was run like clockwork with every heat starting on-time, thanks to Jim Kaiser and our many volunteer helpers, and the meet was completed in just 3.5 hours, from it's NOON start, with plenty of time after the awards, for everyone to have dinner!
I've included links below to official results of every heat, race videos by Tennessee MileSplit and photos from the meet, taken by Tonya Kirby.
Thank you all so much: athletes, coaches, volunteers, and parents alike, for being a part of another fun Nashville PR event!
Please put us on your calendars for next year, and we will be planning on an even better 12th Annual event next Fall.
Sincerely,
Diana McLaughlin

Thank you for entering theNASHVILLE PR 3200m meet -- our 11th Annual Post Season event to be held @ Brentwood Academy this coming Saturday afternoon.

We are getting things ready for another great event and as of right now, the current weather forecast is for Sunny and 48 degrees - potentially ideal racing weather!

The intention of this meet has always been to help you run a fast time, and roughly 70% of all entered athletes have run a 3200m PR at this meet each Fall.

Top end-of-season 5K cross country fitness, a fast track, less-crowded fields, an efficient and reliable time schedule and partially paced-races all play a role in the huge number of PR's.

The first 800-1600m of each 8-lap (3200m) race will be paced by a pacer.

AWARDS are SPONSORED by TEAM NASHVILLE.

Trophy & Free Pair of Running Shoes to 1st Place Boy & 1st Place Girl as well as for the Top Boy & Girl Milesplit-Verified PR. Also the top-14 next Best PR's (non-gender based) will receive medals. We will have someone calculating PR's in total seconds, at the meet, for awards purposes.
