BlueCross Spring Fling Twitter Contest Supports School Spirit
Twitter Contest Offers $1,000 Donation to a School
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – BlueCross Spring Fling℠ begins in Murfreesboro next week, when 4,200 student athletes will compete for state titles in baseball, softball, soccer, tennis and track and field. This year, BlueCross is inviting fans to show their school spirit on Twitter, by playing Tweet Your Team.
Tweet Your Team is a social media contest that encourages fans to get out their phones and cheer on their favorite school on Twitter. Participants will be playing for a chance to win their school a $1,000 donation from BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee.
To play, fans must tweet a cheer or score update with their school’s name and the official BlueCross Spring Fling hashtag, #bcbstSpringFling. For each Tweet that includes the name of their school and the official hashtag, the mentioned school will receive one point. At the end of the week, the school with the most points will win $1,000.
