In Memory of John Parrish

John Parrish was truly one of the finest young men that I have known. As a sophomore and the number two runner on a good Jackson Christian School Cross-Country Team, John had plenty about which he could have been proud; a great runner, a quiet leader, handsome, and a great family. Yet, it seems to me that all who knew him were most impressed by his humility and his lack of desire to draw attention to himself. Everyone on the team loved him. As an mentor of sorts to my freshman son, Ben, he was always so kind and encouraging. I was so looking forward to a long association with John and his influence on Ben. To the Parrish family, my heart is so heavy for you. If there were only words to express the sorrow. May the Spirit of our Lord comfort you until you see John again.
With Deepest Sympathy,
