Highlighting some of the top performers from every corner of Tennessee.
The Bartlett Relay team is carrying the momentum from their Nike Outdoor National Championship this summer and ran a TN #3 All-Time Mark of 47.03 in the 4x100m at the Shelby County Jamboree this past week.
Performer Of The Week
Every week this season we will be conducting a poll from beginning Monday and ending Thursday to highlight performances from the previous week. This will give us an opportunity to showcase the best talent in Tennessee. Though some athletes will likely run times every week that are worthy of being in the poll, our goal is to cast a wide net and showcase a vast array of athletes from all parts of the state.
Current TN Girls Leaderboard
This Week's Candidates
- Dreame Williams (James Lawson) - Williams made an emphatic introduction to the state during indoor season winning the 400m dash in record setting fashion and carried that momentum into the outdoor season running TN #1 times in both the 100m and 200m dash with a 24.27 at Rumble In The Jungle and 11.78 at Middle Tennessee. Her 11.78 is the 2nd fastest Wind Legal time in the US for the Class of 2028.
- Kaylen Owen (Silverdale Baptist) - The success of Liam Runkle in the 300 hurdles seems to be rubbing off on Owen. The senior barely broke 50 a year ago a missed out on state but now leads Division II Class A with a 46.23 which ranks 3 overall. This time places 3rd had she run it a year ago at state.
- Khari Webb (Collierville) - Webb will likely do something ever week that could qualify her for this poll and I thought about holding off until later to use her but at the time of this publishing she currently ranks #1 IN THE US for the 300m Hurdles with a 42.21. This moves her into #5 All-Time for Tennesseans. 41.97 will move her into #2 (which will probably happen this season) then all that's left is Jackie Cowards All-Time and State Meet records of 40.83 and 41.11.
- Bartlett 4x100m Relay Team - This team has quite the story arc to get to this point. Last year they were the #1 team heading into sectionals, dropped the baton, rallied back to win Nike Outdoor Nationals, and now is back for revenge it seems. The quartet of Asia Bolden, Dior Carney, Jasmine McClelland, and Rihanna Rinkin ran a TN #3 All-Time mark at the Shelby County Jamboree of 47.03 then followed that up with a victory in Alabama with a 47.45.
