Avery Young of Northeast Middle in Clarksville has won both Saturday Light Fever and the Green Hill Invitational in back to back weeks and currently leads the state with a best of 11:04.
As stated in the preseason, the middle school rankings and the qualifying structure of the TMSAA has been a little bit of a blind spot for us in the past but this season, drawing attention to our runners of the future is a point of emphasis. The official distance contested for this division is 2 Miles and while not very many program across the state have raced that length, many have.
