Questions marks at the Top
While on the boys side of the Class of 2024, it's entirely possible they sweep the individual titles this season. On the girl's side, it's entirely possible they get shut out. In no TSSAA division listed above, is a runner from the Class of 2024 the top returner and of those class leaders, two were injured during track season. Jaynie Halterman has not raced since Southern Showcase and Anna Graves, the runner up from last year's Division II Class AA race, has not raced since early February. Halterman would still have a tall task even if she rounds back to form with Claire Stegall in her Division but Graves has a clearer path to the top of the podium with Guillamondegui graduated but with an eligible Carolina Areheart (who is also her teammate) and resurgent Mae Mae Powe, who won the division as a freshman, the title will not be handed to anyone this year. Julianna Mitchell leads the senior class for Division I Class AA/A which really illustrates the immediate impact reclassification will have this cycle. Station Camp and David Crockett moving down add title contenders in both the individual and team competitions.
After finishing 9th as a sophomore, Webb's Anna Graves finished runner up as a junior in Division II Class AA.
