Frank Carver Invitational
Last weekend in East Tennessee, it was extremely windy. This weekend, it was wet. If spring fling taught us anything last year is that the weather won't always cooperate. An event like pole vault can be affected greatly by the conditions but Tennessee High's Fairyn Meares persevered through and almost matched her personal best on Saturday anyways with a clearance of 10-6 winning the competition at her home track. She has consistently improved since picking up the pole just last year and hasn't had a competition under 10 feet since June of last year. She's currently ranked #1 overall in Class AA after finishing 4th in the event last year.
