In his first long jump competition of the year, Sterling Weldon jumped a new indoor PR of 23-7.5.

Nolensville's Sterling Weldon returns as the #3 overall long jumper in the state with a distance of 23-1 but if his first indoor mark (above) is any indicator, he's won't be in the 23's much longer. While he also has a 6-6 high jump to his name, Weldon is looking to become a triple threat this season trying his hand now at the triple jump as well. At the Bama Showcase, he won his first competition with a jump of 45-0.25.
