I've said many times it's not hard to be good at track and field in Tennessee. What's hard is getting the best athletes in the school to join track and field. There's no shortage of high profile football programs in my immediate area who have zero presence on the oval during the spring months. But while football may be the focus, as the more female winners I interviewed in Murfreesboro last may, the more athletes who call basketball their primary sport started to stand out. While this most definitely isn't all of them, here a few that help illustrate how dominant they were.
