Parker Harris
Historically, Section 3 is very hard to qualify out of in boys distance events and this year is going to be no different. Brody Chapman, Miles Ramer, and Blake Brown are all likely going to occupy multiple spots of the four per event that get to advance but a runner who is currently in qualifying position for some of those spots is Sophomore Parker Harris from Franklin High School. He currently ranks 2nd in the section in the 3200m with 9:28 and 4th in the section with a 4:22 in the 1600m. It's clear Harris is building on the momentum from finishing on the podium for cross country and at this current trajectory he could wind up there again for track this May. Looking further ahead, the Admirals will be returning all seven runners from a 7th place overall team for cross country. Definitely a team and runner to keep an eye on.
Harris finished 2nd at the March Madness Invitational running 4:28. To this point, Chapman is the only Division I runner to beat him at distances 1600m and above in head to head racing.
