Unified Division
While the final heats of each race were worth the price of admission, sprinkled in amongst the varsity division was the Unified Division. As a partnership between the TSSAA and The Special Olympics, Unified sports serves as an opportunity to students with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. The race below is one such example that occurred on Friday night in the second heat of the Open Division 400m Dash.
If you attend the AAA Division State Championship in Murfreesboro this May, you'll have an opportunity to see these athletes in person.
