Farragut Invitational 2021: Meet Preview and Entries

Farragut Invitational 2021

I couldn't make it out to Hardin Valley last weekend after it got moved to Monday but as I attempt to cover every region of the state once per season this weekend's Farragut Invitational will be a suitable substitute.

Follow us on Instagram @MileSplit_TN for full coverage as it happens.

Here's the meet program for Saturday:

Things to watch:

Jefferson County Shot Putters:

Right now, Tristan Boatman and Dominic Schroeder are ranked 2nd and 4th overall in the state and 1st and 2nd in Division I, Large. I'm ready to see some 50 foot throws in person this weekend.

HVA Girl's:

I've talked a lot about them so far this season, now it's time to see if they live up to their rankings. Perhaps one or more of their horizontal jumpers can break 18' and Dominique Romain can break 12 in the 100m. After seeing Brentwood in person on Wednesday, it'll be nice to compare their depth to HVA's on Saturday.

Austin-East Boys:

Watching the Roadrunners go head to head with Pearl-Cohn in 2019 was a real treat at the state meet. The title literally came down to the 4x400 as every meet should. This will be my first look at one of the top teams from 2019 in the lower division. Curious to see how well they've reloaded. This 4x100m Relay was a special race as well. Two schools with under 700 students laying down the #2 and #3 time in the state. This should get you pumped up for Saturday.
