End of Season Awards: Middle Tennessee

In a similar way that Coach Ted is highlighting the cross-country season that was for West Tennessee, I wanted to do the same for Middle. Here's what I've determined from covering this region.


Most Outstanding Individual Girl

Kaitlyn Vanderkolk - Brentwood High School

Kaitlyn and Kevin Vanderkolk are both headed to Belmont University in the fall.

Highlights: Placed no worse than 5th in 8 races over the course of the season including a 3rd place finish at the TSSAA State Championship. Led the Bruins the Large Division I state title in the process. Posted a season's best 17:45 at the Jesse Owens Classic. Committed to Belmont University.

Most Outstanding Individual Boy

Aiden Britt - Lebanon High School

Aiden Britt after his surprise victory at state.

Highlights: Won the six races including the TSSAA State Championship. Posted a season's best 15:29 at that same meet. Recently committed to the University of Mississippi.
