Winders, Hutchins Steal the Show in Week Three

Tennessee's two standout performers in week three are among the nation's elite.

You'd be hard-pressed to find many states that had a guy break 15 minutes and a girl under 17:20 this past Saturday.

The Volunteer State had both.

Silas Winders and Jenna Hutchins were phenomenal this past weekend. Both won competitive out of state races. Both are also in the top ten nationally.

Winders won the Mustang Stampede in Kentucky with a 14:52. That's the fifth-fastest 5k in America so far this year for high school guys.

Hutchins was out in South Carolina -- making it two-for-two on the young season. Her 17:14 is another new career-best as well, placing her eighth on the US list through a month of the season.

That's now two personal bests in two races for the Science Hill sophomore. She only trails Riley Stewart (Colorado) on the Class of 2022 list.

These two will continue to break records and move up the national lists. That's for sure.

We're excited to see what's next.
