Maryland All-State athlete signs with King cross country

 Bristol, Tenn. (Oct. 20, 2008) --- Naseem Haje (Hagerstown, Md.) has committed to compete for the King College cross country / track and field team for the 2009-2010 season. The Williamsport high school senior is currently having a stellar senior cross country campaign, recently lowering his cross country time to an impressive 15:42 at the Frank Keyser Invitational in BoonsboroMd.

The Williamsport Wildcat finished 6th at the 2008 Maryland State Championships, claiming a personal record of 10:03 for the 3,200 meters. Also a member of the 2008 cross country All-County team Haje will be one to watch for. 

“Naseem is very young athletically, and I am certain that he will fit right in with our squad.” commented head coach Peter Dalton. “There’s a real excitement right now around the entire King cross country program, and I’m certain Naseem will continue to help us build upon that momentum.”

Naseem is the son of Nelson and Karen Haje. He is a member of the German Honors Society, Williamsport Honors Club and is the recipient of the Shining Star award.
