Witt-Sannes joins King cross country

Bristol, Tenn. (Oct. 20th, 2008) ---- The King College Lady Tornado cross country squad has added Hannah Witt-Sannes (Mountain City, Tenn.) for the 2009-2010 season. The Lady Longhorn of Johnson Co. high school has been a recent revelation this season, dismissing a host of competitors with vast amounts of experience, to finish 4th at the prestigious 17th Annual Bristol Cross.

Possessing personal records of 12:26.19 for the 3,200 meters and 20:54 for 5,000 meters cross country, Witt-Sannes is one to watch. Witt-Sannes has flourished under the tutelage of Coach Matt Bray. A 5th place finish at the 2008 A-AA Sub-Sectionals highlighted her debut track campaign.

“Hannah is such a great fit for our team,” commented head coach Peter Dalton. “She is young athletically but I am certain that with a little guidance, she and the team, can progress to the top together.”

Hannah also excels academically and has been awarded valedictorian. Also named to the A honor roll on numerous occasions and the National Honors Society Hannah is sure to assimilate to King’s academic challenges.

Hannah is the daughter of Donna Witt.

Both King College cross country teams compete next at the Southeastern Classic. Hosted by Berry College in Mount BerryGa., Oct. 25th, the meet will begin at 9 am.
