Walker Valley distance runner Patrick Shultz won’t have to venture very far to continue his collegiate level running career. On Friday, Shultz made his decision to become a part of Lee University’s track and cross country team official. “It’s exciting to finally get signed and ready to go for college. Justin Kyle Walker officially became Lee University's cross country coach Don Jayroe's first men's signee earlier this week. The Walker Valley High School senior ran for coach Jason Parks and the Mustang track and cross country teams.
The daughter of former Lee Viking basketball standout Paul Cretton, Kristin played soccer and ran track and cross country for Walker Valley. She was a two-time cross country all-region athlete and was a member of the 4X8 state championship relay team in the 10th grade and was named to the all-region team.
