Awards Medals to the top three places, including relay members. Trophies to the top 2 teams (boys and girls). Special awards to the outstanding individuals (boys and girls) and a single outstanding performance of the meet.
Admission fee $7 per day
The entry fee is $150 per boys team and $150 per girls team.
Individuals are $20 per person, up to 6 athletes, otherwise team fee will apply.

We will follow TSSAA rules. A contestant shall not be entered in more than four (4) events, excluding relays. A contestant shall not compete in more than four (4) events, including relays.
OPEN Events & Limitations- 100/200/400/800/1600/3200/SHOT/LJ/PV/DISCUS- 3 entries
OPEN 4x100 and OPEN 4x800- 1 entry limit
Unified Entry Limitations- Each team will be allowed a maximum of five (5) entries in each Unified event.
Varsity Entry Limitations- up to 5 for all events but must meet entry standard, 1 for relay teams. Athletes not meeting the standard should enter the OPEN division of the meet. No standards for hurdle races.
All heats will be seeded according to times given. Coaches CAN NOT override times. Coaches can email Coach Hamlett if a different seed time/mark is needed. william.hamlett@gmsdk12.org
Field Events: All field events will be finals. Horizontal events (Throws, LJ, TJ) will receive 4 attempts.
VARSITY FIELD EVENT MEASUREMENT STANDARDS:
All first attempts will be measured.
Shot- G-28', B-38'
Discus- G-75', B-100'
LJ- G-15', B-18'
TJ- G-27', B-35'
HJ- G-4'4", B-4'10" starting heights
PV- 7'6" Girls, 8'6" Boys starting heights

Unified Events- we are excited to announce the addition of Unified Track to the Houston Classic. Special needs students from several local schools will have the opportunity of competing along-side their fellow student athletes in the following events: shot, long jump, 100M dash, 4x100M relay.
