The no. 2 ranked Milligan College women's cross country team won their fifth straight AAC/Region XII title Saturday morning at Elizabethton's Sycamore Shoals State Park. Lady Buff finishers occupied the first six places in the race with a perfect score of 15 points. In addition, Milligan placed seven women in the top 10, and nine women in the top 15.

Daniel Hamilton and Helania Masters qualified for the NAIA National Cross Country Championships held at Wayne E. Dannehl Cross Country Course in Kenosha, Wisconsin beginning at 10:30 am on Saturday November 18. Daniel, a freshman, ran his fastest and best race of the year to earn the trip to Wisconsin. Helania who missed qualifying last season by one spot ran another solid race just missing her personal best time by one second.
Bryan College captured the NAIA Region XII and Appalachian Athletic Conference Cross Country Championship in convincing fashion Saturday, by placing five athletes in the top nine positions. The championship was hosted by the Milligan College at Sycamore Shoals State Park. Bryan totaled 29 points as the host Milligan finished second with 54. King College took the third team slot with 129 points. Individually for the Lions, Daniel Goetz led the way with a second place finish and time of 25:50.80 over the eight-kilometer course. Milligan's Ben Ronoh took the individual crown in 25:27.10.
