Meet Information
Coaches,
I just wanted to extend an invitation to all of you to join us again
for the 3rd Charger Relays meet where all races are and field events are
run and scored as relay races. The meet is to be held at 10:00 on
Saturday, April 8.
In order to include as many schools as possible, several of the events
are scored as coed races. This includes the 4Xmile (4X1600 really), all
field events, and the 4X100-110 hurdles). There is a Clydesdale 4X100
relay for male throwers (you could sneak a girl in if you could convince
them). All other relays are run as girl relay then boys with a Sprint
medley and distance medley included. Girls and boys teams score together
to produce a final score. It really is a great event and we would like
all of you to come.
ONE IMPORTANT CHANGE... we WILL allow additional exhibition squads to
the field events, but they will not score.
FIELD EVENT ONLY: A school may perform with 3 athletes and still score
if they do not use more than two boys or two girls in the competition.
(Be sure to enter 4 names for seeding and scoring). Remember, the filed
series are a combination of the best performance of four from each
school.

website. Click on the link then select \"Online Meet Entry.

2. Enter Athlete Names
3. Now scroll down to April 8 and choose the Charger Relays from the
available meets. A link to the meet information is available on the
website.
4. Register the athletes for the events...and this is the tricky part.

a. Select the \"Charger Relays\" for all of your scoring entries. Go back
later and enter your extra B and C relay teams if you want to have them
seeded but do so in the Charger Relays \'Exhibition\' meet. This is not
necessary unless you would like them seeded and provided you have a time
for them.
b. You can choose to enter athletes by names (each athlete is given a
list of all the events to be chosen from) or by event. (Select the event
you want to enter and then choose from the list of athletes)
c. For the coed Field events. Enter the individual performances for
each of the 4 athletes who will score. The field events will be held
just as a regular meet and then the combined throw or jumps of the two
girls and two boys will be combined.
d. For the 4XMile and the Hurdle Relay, Select your two female athletes
and then the two male athletes. You only need to put the qualifying
mark if you want them seeded to a preferred lane (You will have to add
the 4 mile times and hurdle times to get a qualifying time.) The default
is to use NT for no qualifying mark. Athletes in this case will be
seeded randomly into lanes. IF YOU PLACE A QUALIFYING TIME FOR THESE TWO
COED RELAYS...PLACE THE TIME IN THE GIRLS RELAY TEAM ONLY.
All other relays are all boy or all girl and are fairly easy to
negotiate. Some relays (IE Sprint medley and distance medley) may
require you to calculate a relay time unless you run the event in a
practice.
Please have your entries in by 6:00 Thursday, but I may allow some late
entry till noon on Friday.

intimidated by the computer...It is supposed to make life easier.
