Breakout Performers
Tyler Hohen (Clarksville) ran 16.20 in the 110m hurdles at the Montgomery County Championships on April 22, improving from his previous best of 17.40 set in April 2026. The senior placed third of 14 competitors and ranks 89th in Tennessee. Hohen also set a personal record in the 300m hurdles, running 41.53 to improve from 43.58.
Addie Frazier (Bradley Central) clocked 5:24.15 in the 1600m at the Walker Valley Last Chance Meet on April 21, lowering her previous mark of 5:43.61. The sophomore won the race among seven competitors and ranks 66th in the state.
Shemika Wiley (Goodpasture Christian) ran 25.85 in the 200m at the Davidson Academy Invitational #2 on April 24, improving from 27.12 set in April 2026. The freshman won the event among 14 competitors and ranks 54th in Tennessee.
Khyain Payne (Rossview) ran 10.93 in the 100m at the Montgomery County Championships on April 22, improving from 11.42 set in April 2026. The junior placed third of 18 competitors and ranks 41st in the state and 17th among juniors.
Kate Brent (Harpeth) ran 5:36.63 in the 1600m at the Admiral Invitational on April 24, improving from 6:00.22 set in April 2026. The senior placed sixth of 27 competitors and ranks 143rd in Tennessee and 47th among seniors.
Kennedy Jackson (Blackman) threw 46-9 in the shot put at Run @ The Rock on April 21, improving from his previous best of 41-6. The senior placed second of 31 competitors and ranks 56th in the state and 21st among seniors.
Alayah Hines (Boyd Buchanan) ran 12.07 in the 100m at the Front Runner Chattanooga Area Top 16 on April 24, improving from 12.51 set in April 2026. The 8th graders mark set a school record and won the event among 15 competitors, ranking eighth in Tennessee. Hines also ran 25.17 in the 200m to improve from 25.84.
Zabian Goodwin (Dobyns Bennett) jumped 22-1.5 in the long jump at the 46th Trojan Timing Classic on April 24, improving from 21-0.5. The senior placed fourth of 14 competitors and ranks 31st in the state and 19th among seniors.
Finleigh Sarkis (Girls Preparatory School) ran 12:01.00 in the 3200m at McCallie/GPS v Baylor on April 22, improving from 12:26.03. The junior placed second of four competitors and ranks 74th in Tennessee and 18th among juniors.
Shantae Davis (Northeast) ran 12.52 in the 100m at the Montgomery County Championships on April 22, improving from 12.93. The senior placed second of 16 competitors and ranks 57th in the state. Davis also set personal records in the 200m (26.56, improving from 27.04) and 100m hurdles (16.24, improving from 16.25).
Housen Jiang (Lipscomb Academy) ran 11.07 in the 100m at the Metro Nashville Freshman Meet on April 20, improving from 11.86. The freshman won the event among 40 competitors and ranks 92nd in Tennessee and sixth among freshmen.
Onose Aigbomian (Collierville) ran 25.71 in the 200m at the Shelby County Freshman Championship on April 23, improving from 26.67 set in February 2026. The freshman placed second of 26 competitors and ranks 41st in the state and second among freshmen.
