Jazmyne Blackwell placed 12th at last year's indoor state championship with a 58.83. It was her first time under a minute in her career and has never looked back. Through nine outdoor races she never raced above sixty seconds culminating in a 4th place finish at state outdoors. Now she's leading the state in the distance after winning the KYA Indoor Classic from the second heat! All things are trending upward for this junior from Alcoa.
