At the outset of the season, Cookeville's Katie Hetzel's end of season goal was to break eighteen minutes. It didn't take long to reach that goal as she did so in just her second meet of the season running 17:59 at Voyles. She's been at much smaller meets since but this weekend will take on a stacked field at Jesse Owens where I suspect she'll take full advantage of the opportunity to be pulled to a fast time from some in and out of state talent.
