Estella Clemons won the 800m on Saturday with a 2:21. While the distance times across the board at HVA weren't particularly eye opening due to the unrelenting wind, the junior from Cleveland has to leave with a lot of confidence considering a field that included this year's Tennessee State Indoor Mile Champion and last May's 800m Runner Up. Here's a replay of that race. Photo: @barryhouchinphotography
Joining the previously mentioned Morgan Lewis under the fifteen second mark is Dobyns-Bennett's Brayden Simpson. He placed second overall on Saturday at Hardin Valley and first among Tennesseans in the 110m Hurdles with this run of 14.92. (Lane 4)
Simpson was just .05 off his best mark in the event which he also ran at HVA during AAU. He is the defending Section 1 Champion in the event that he finished 6th at state last year. He currently ranks 4th overall.
