Stegall Breaks State Indoor Record
Nolensville's Claire Stegall ran one indoor meet last season and it was the mile at Eastern Indoors. She was coming off a season ending injury during cross country and won the event in 4:55. Though there has been more indoor meets available this year, Stegall has been taking it slow again in 2023 after an up and down end to her cross country season and debuted on Saturday at the same meet in the same event to the same result only faster. Not only was her 4:44.62 a personal record indoors, a meet record, and a facility record, but it was also a Tennessee State Indoor Record and the 5th fastest time run in the distance across in the country this year. Savannah Rivera, who you'll hear more from next week, also finished in 5:00.86 which will be a TN #3.
