Hurdles did not come naturally for Sam Fisher. In 2021, he barely dipped under seventeen seconds for the event but by the state meet of 2022, he was on the verge of breaking fifteen and his 15.12 was just enough to win the DII Class AA state title in the 110m Hurdles edging out second place by a mere 0.01 seconds. That wasn't his only state title last year as a week prior he took home gold in the Decathlon so while hurdles may be his highest individual finish on the podium in 2022, he returns as a contender in a lot of events.
