2022 Moments of the Year
To finish off 2022, we're going to countdown the MileSplit TN Top 10 Moments of the Year. As you'll see throughout the countdown, last year was filled with incredible drama, can't miss racing, and record breaking performances. Enjoy. Farragut Places 9th
After winning the Division I Class AAA State Title, the Farragut Admirals were not done winning just yet. They would go on the win the Southeast Regional narrowly edging out a team from Miami, McCallie, and Brentwood. It was a the first time since 2016 that a boys team from Tennessee qualified for the race in Portland. The most recent was a club running team from Brentwood who would go on to place 3rd. Farragut would place 9th with Senior Trevor Coggin leading the way with a 37th overall finish in 15:40 with Matteo Tonnos not be far behind crossing in 15:52. The rest of the Admirals, Braden Ebbert, Harrison Cunningham, Riley Hanson, Jarek Morton, Quinn Deguira, would finish between 16:17 and 16:47.

The only other boy from Tennessee in the race would be Luke Mussard of Dobyns-Bennett who finished 4th at the regional to secure an individual qualifying spot. He would finish outside the Top 100 at the national race.

Webb Girls Qualify
All from Knoxville, the Spartans of Webb School joined Farragut in Portland after finishing runner up at the Southeast Regional. This was the first time a girls team from Tennessee would be represented at this national race. The team would finish 20th overall with a 19:22 team average and would be led by Anna Graves (Above Middle) and Calysta Garmer (Above Right) who were the first two to cross the finish in 18:55 and 18:58 respectively. Jazzlyn Garmer and Kristina Weaver would not be far behind both finishing faster than 19:30 with Carolina Areheart and Lauren Davis as the final finishers.
