In each year of it's existence, the Garmin RunningLane Cross Country Championship has made history. In 2020, Tennessee's own Jenna Hutchins became the first girl to ever run under the sixteen minute 5k barrier on grass with her 15:58. The next season, five boy runners ran 14:10 or faster including three teammates from California's Newbury Park, Colin Sahlman, Leo Young, and Lex Young, Niwot's Zane Bergen, and Hartland's Riley Hough. Though this year there is some watering down of the field with other national level meets, the final entries for Saturday surpass 3000 runners and include 53 boys seeded faster than 15-minutes and 100 girls seeded faster than 18-minutes! You're not going to want to miss this but to help you get prepared for the meet from a Tennessee point of view, here are the entries from the Volunteer State.

Last year, Jaynie Halterman took first and Savannah Rivera placed 4th in the Silver Division race.
