Tyson Peters - Sovereign Grace
Tyson Peters finished 12th in the Gold Division Race at Coleman Midgett Invitational on Saturday running a new PR of 16:23. It was nearly a full minute improvement for the junior at Sanders Ferry from the last time he raced there. This was the second week in a row Peters caught my attention as he won his heat of the Siegel 2 Miler the previous week with 10:07 (another PR). However, while drafting this article I made the connection that last week was not the first he cross the finish line first. In 2018 as a 7th grader for Spring Hill, Tyson WON the Class AA TMSAA State Championship.
He's coming back into form now and on this trajectory looks to have an opportunity to make a run at an HXN Championship in the next couple of years.
