Video: Pearl Cohn's Barion Brown Debuts With Huge Comeback

Barion Brown

I didn't know what to expect from Pearl Cohn's Barion Brown this season. Sometimes when senior athletes have one foot out the door on their way to play college football, their commitment to their final track season sometimes suffers. I remember seeing this tweet from the All American game he participated in and was concerned.

After last night, it's safe to say that 1) Barion has recovered from this injury and 2) he has unfinished business before heading of to Lexington.

Brown opened the night with a modest victory in the 100m dash winning in 10.98. Though they did run backwards down the backstretch, I wouldn't consider these wind-aided. The wind was very much shielded by the large building that abuts right up next to the track.

The next time Brown stepped on the track, he took the baton from a poorly executed handoff in fourth place, well back of the leaders and... well... the video speaks for itself.

Official time 1:33.94 to Ensworth's 1:33.98. He would finish the night with a 22.55 in the 200m dash.

Full results will be coming shortly. In the meantime, you can rewatch every race from last night up to the 800m runs.
