East Tennessee Jamboree
Track is ramping up and though the meets are still considered scrimmages there are still events that will be worth monitoring. From the entries for the meet, I picked five events I'll be monitoring this weekend as results get posted.
Boys High Jump
Heritage's Grant Campbell is the defending Large Division I State Champion in the high jump and the only jumper over 6' 8" state wide last season. After winning the event last season he went straight into basketball and hasn't been seen on the mat since. Saturday will be a quick transition for him as his last game of the season for the Mountaineers was just two weeks ago. Will be curious to see where he opens and what heights he pushes for on such a short off-ramp from basketball.
