Harding Academy Boys
This contest isn't as clear based on the table to pick the
winner of but it was close... closer than the final team scores even reflect:

Harding won 126 to Franklin Road's 116 but FRA DQ'd a relay. Would it have mattered? Not likely as I don't think those points really tell the story of where FRA lost pace with HA. Harding scored 15 points in the open distance races 800 and over while FRA scored 0 and again while FRA's Payton Culp won the pole vault, Harding Vaulters scored 13. Similarly, while Connor Moore won the High Jump, Harding jumpers scored 12.
When Coach King emailed me in March, I don't know what he thought his chances were of winning just one team title at the end of the season but he ultimately left with two. Here he was at the end of the night a couple of Wednesdays ago.
Congratulations to the Lion's track and field programs. More "Why They Won" scheduled for this week and next.
