Koby Story continues winning streak:
Koby Story, Senior for Beech High School, continued his 300mh winning streak this season running a Personal Best 41.99 in the finals. He won Kenwood, Johnny O Invitational, Sumner County Championships and now 9AAA District Championship. When I looked at his profile I noticed he had times for the 300mh race his freshman and sophomore years but not for his junior year. I spoke with him after the race and he mentioned he broke his wrist his Junior year during basketball season and tabled hurdling for a year while his wrist healed. Right now he is fringe state contender for Section 3 in the event.

Hancock breaks 11:
Nate Hancock may be listed as a Junior at Hendersonville High School but this is his first year competing in the track and field and is making significant progress. On Thursday he ran 10.99 to win the 100m Open becoming one of 20 athletes in the state to break the 11 barrier so far this season. Markeece Shufford of West Creek is the clear favorite in Section 3 but if Hancock keeps improving at this rate he may be running in Murfreesboro in May as well.
