With the KYA Indoor Classic and the Vanderbilt Invitational behind us, this is a good time to look back for a bit.
There have been lots of impressive performances across the board in Tennessee so far this season. And many of them have happened on a national stage outside the state lines as well.
Here are our top five girls performances so far this indoor season.
5. Nicole Johnson -- Vanderbilt HS Invitational 60m Dash
Tyner Academy's Nicole Johnson is the fastest sprinter in the state of Tennessee so far this season. That's because of her impressive performance over the weekend at the Vanderbilt Invitational.
Johnson placed fifth in a loaded field of athletes from all over the southeast. Her time of 7.72 is a season best. Last year, Johnson set a personal best with a prelim mark of 7.57 at the New Balance Indoor championships.
Needless to say, she's not done yet. But having over a tenth of a second between you and everyone else in Tennessee is pretty impressive at this point in the season.
