Brodey Hasty is headed back to New York this weekend.
After running a US No. 1 4:03.26 this past weekend at the Dr. Sander Invitational, Hasty has accepted an invitation to race in the Men's Invitational Mile at the 111th Millrose Games.
Last weekend's race was a five second personal best for the Brentwood senior. Hasty closed in 58.7 in his final 400 to dip well below his career best.
This weekend, he'll be gunning for a sub-4 performance against some of the world's best athletes. For the second straight week, he'll have the chance to do so against professional competition.
Hasty has shown he has the finishing speed to break four minutes. His final 800 clocked in at 1:59 on Saturday.
Last week, Brentwood's Beth Donnelly and Scott Thompson also accepted invitations to run at Millrose. They'll both compete in the high school mile.
