Running for a cause, Markie Voyles 5K and 1 Mile

In October 2008, the Tennessee running community said good-bye to an amazing and talented runner. Markie Voyles was a senior at White Co. High School and would have graduated this May with her fellow classmates. She passed away on October 25th from injuries sustained in a car accident. In Markie’s memory her father Mark and several others have organized the “Markie Voyles Project Graduation 5K”. This event will be held at White County High School on May 2, 2009. We would like to encourage everyone to come out and support this cause. Those interested in participating in the High School Mile are encouraged to come out and help with various duties at the 5K. Let’s work together to make this event a huge success!!

See the meet pages below for more information.
