The defending Division II-AA state cross country champion has made her college choice.
Brentwood Academy's Meredith Helton will continue her athletic career at Wake Forest.
She's the second Tennessee athlete to commit to the Demon Deacons in the past week.
Helton has three top three finishes to her name this season in the Southeast. Her sixth place finish at the Wingfoot XC Classic placed her in the top ten on the state rankings.

She is one of seven girls to break 18:30 in Tennessee this year. And last season, Helton won the Division II-AA state championship for her first career victory.
This week, she leads her Brentwood Academy team into a tight race for another team and individual championship. Coming off her win at the Mid-State Cross Country Association championship a few weeks ago, Helton will be gunning for a new school record time at the state meet this weekend.
