Sullivan South's Wooden signs to run at Milligan

MILLIGAN COLLEGE, TN (March 2, 2007) --- Milligan College head track and field and cross country coach Chris Layne announced Sullivan South senior Nathan Wooden will run for the Buffaloes next Fall.

Wooden was a member of Sullivan South's 2006 state qualifying 4 x 400 meter relay team and also earned All-Conference honors in both cross country and track and field. He holds a 5,000 meter personal best of 17:36 in cross country.

"We're very excited about Nathan coming to Milligan because our staff believes he has tremendous potential to develop as a distance runner," said Layne. "He's a student of the sport who also takes his academics seriously."

Wooden helped lead South to a sixth place finish at the 2006 Region 1-AAA Cross Country Championships with his 28th place finish. Earlier in the season he finished tenth overall at the University School Cross Country Invitational.
