Milligan College head coach Chris Layne announced Friday that Tyson McDaniel (Bristol, Tenn.) has signed to run for the Buffaloes.
McDaniel is a 2006 graduate of Tennessee High School in Bristol, Tenn. where he participated in varsity football and track and field for the Vikings. He was a two-year letterman in football, and a four-year letterman in track and field. McDaniel placed fifth in the 200 meter dash at the 2005 Region 1-AAA championships in Oak Ridge. This season McDaniel primarily ran the 4x100 and 4x200 relays and competed at the Region 1-AAA and TSSAA State Championships.
\"Tyson is a well-rounded young man who we believe will only improve our young track and field program at Milligan College,\" said Layne. While at Milligan, McDaniel plans to pursue classes that lead to a career in either Pre-Med or Engineering.
