Class A Section 2 Track & Field Meet Information
Important: This is a Class A meet. Please confirm your school classification before entering.
Updated List of Sectional Teams
-Scoring 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for all events.
-(3) entries per team for each individual event.
-(1) relay entry per team for each relay.
*Top 2 in each event advance to the State Championship held at Univ. of Tennessee - May 18, 2026.
Admission
- Entry Fee: $7.00 for everyone over 10

- Coaches: Please check and double-check all entries before the deadline.

Running Events
Important Note:If an athlete is still competing in a field event and is scheduled for a running event:
- Notify the field event official
- Report to the running event
- After completion, return to finish field event attempts
Order of Running Events
- 4x800 Relay
- 100/110 Hurdles
- 100 Meter Dash
- 4x200 Relay
- 1600 Meter Run
- 4x100 Relay
- 400 Meter Dash
- 800 Meter Run
- 200 Meter Dash
- 4x400 Relay
Tie Breakers must take place for anyone tying in the Top 4 of any event.
All uniforms must follow the NFHS Rules. The referee will warn every participant prior to the meet that they must compete in a legal uniform, and if a contestant competes in an illegal uniform, then that contestant is disqualified from that event. There are no team warnings or individual warnings after the meet begins. Officials should use preventative officiating as much as possible.
Number of Events Open to Participants
- No contestant may participate in more than three events in any meet. This regulation applies to all track competition - regular-season meets as well as post season meets.
- A school may enter no more than three girls or three boys in any individual event and no more than one team in a relay.
Schedule of the Day
9:00 am Gates will open
9:30 am Implement weigh-in will take place next to the home side concession stand
10:15 am coaches meeting will take place in front of the home side concession stand
10:30 am field events will start
12:30 am running events will start 4x800 (pending the completion of field events)
Entries:
If more than 24 To qualify, we will be taking the following based on FAT times in milesplit:
Top 24 athletes in each running event
Top 16 relay teams in each relay event
Top 24 in each field event
HJ will start at 3'8" for girls and 4'2" for boys
Awards:
Champion Team Trophy Runner-Up Team Trophy Individual medals for 1st through 3rd places in each event
Implements
Everyone must report to weight in for implement to be approved.
4kg (8.8 lbs) shot put for boys and 6lbs for girls
1kg for discus Rubber Discus only.
