Meet Information

We received word that we can compete Friday! This will do a great deal to help make Saturday better for everyone including our officials and athletes. Please note elementary/middle events that have a high school prelim/final will only compete during the high school final time and will not have prelims.

Also please make note that we have entry limits in some of the field events and a few running events. This is open until the event is filled. If people scratch, spots open up and you are welcome to check back and enter that event. This will ensure that we can maintain an event schedule in the field events. If we see time where we can add more heats, we will do so while also trying to finish on time.

For TN athletes: We will make sure a minimun of 8 TN athletes are permitted in each event as this is an auto qualifier for the TN State HS Indoor Championships 2/22/25.

ENTRY DEADLINE

All entries and fees must be received online only by Tuesday, December 31, 2024. All entries and payments must be made online - if paying on meet day, must pay in full to receive packet. Can pay via school/club check. Will not accept personal checks!

ELIGIBILITY

This a USATF Open Meet for High School Athletes and Limited Middle School Athletes. If you are not in High School you may not enter the high school events in this meet. Athletes may register as Unattached or as a member of a Track Club Team - Only. It is your responsibility to confirm that your state association will allow you to compete if you are a High School Athlete.

**NEW THIS YEAR - Select Middle School events (Grades 6-8). Open to any middle school athlete currently not competing for their high school. All running events for middle school are section vs time and all field events compete mixed but results are separated.**

ENTRY FEE

$40.00 per athlete. $40 per relay. This is a USATF Open Meet Limited to High School Athletes Only and Limited Middle School Athletes. Athletes must register as Unattached or as a member of a Club Team. All entry fees must be paid online via credit card prior to acceptance. There are no entry refunds or entry fee changes for scratched athletes or no-shows past the entry deadline of December 31, 2024. All entries submitted without payment by the entry deadline will be scratched.

ENTRY DECLARATION / INVITATIONAL SECTION ENTRANTS

A copy of your on-line entries will be e-mailed to you. No other changes to your entries will be accepted after the online entry deadline of 12/31/24- midnight EST. Athletes to be considered for Invitational Sections must submit accurate entry times - 2024-25 Indoor and 2024 Outdoor Times will be used to determine selection for the Invitational Sections. Bogus performances will result in your entry being scratched from the meet.  COACHES IF YOU ARE ENTERING AN ATHLETE IN AN EVENT WITH ENTRY LIMITS - PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SELECT A BACKUP EVENT FOR YOUR ATHLETE - NOT DOING SO AND ASSUMING THEY CAN BE ADDED LATER WOULD BE INCORRECT.  Entering an event with a NM (no mark) will guarantee you being placed in the slow section for section vs time races and missing the cut off in events with field limits.

TRACK ACCESS

Warm-ups will be announced prior to each event field event. No running event warm-ups on track. Warm ups may be done on the turf or outside.

NO FOOD AND ONLY WATER PERMITTED PASSED THE LOBBY DOORS! 

GATE FEE
General Admission Tickets will be on sale for $15.00.  All athletes will receive an athletes armband in their team or individual packets which must be worn in order to gain access to the facility and track areas.  Coaches will be allocated armbands according to team size. https://knoxvilleyouthathletics.squarespace.com/

Teams and Unattached athletes will be issued a coaches band based off the following ratio:

1-6 athletes = 1 Coaches Band

7-12 athletes = 2 Coaches Bands

13-18 athletes = 3 Coaches Bands

19-24 athletes = 4 Coaches Bands

25+ athletes = 5 Coaches Bands

IMPLEMENTS

Only shots provided by the meet management will be allowed in competition unless checked in no later than 1 hour prior to event. Weight Throw implements will not be provided by meet management, please check yours in no later than 1 hour prior to your competition.

PACKET PICK-UP

Packet Pickup Opens at 5PM 1/3/25 & 7:30AM 1/4/25 in the Lobby.

CLEAR BAG POLICY

Effective 1/1/2023 - Vanderbilt University has a clear bag policy. Any spectator may only bring in a clear bag. This does not apply to athletes/coaches/media/meet staff/officials.

T-SHIRTS / AWARDS

Commemorative shirts will be on sale at the meet or for pre-order for $25.00. Individual Awards: plaques will be awarded to individual event champions, medallions will be awarded to places 2-6. There will be no team scoring or team awards. T Shirts and awards available in Lobby.

Plenty of on-campus parking here: Parking (NO PARKING IN LOT 27 HIGHLIGHTED IN RED)

RUNNING EVENTS INFO

There will be preliminaries in the 60m, 60m hurdles and 200m runs. Heats are seeded fastest to slowest. NO RUN OUTS. All other running events will be run in sections seeded based on entry. Two relay teams per school in the 4 x 400m Relay and one relay team per school in the DMR. Meet- management reserves the right to adjust standards and accepted entry numbers for all events.. USATF Rules apply requiring athletes of HS age to use blocks in the 60m dash, 60m hurdles, 200m dash and 400m dash.
